How we write, review and update guides.
CostQuote content is built to be useful and honest. Here is the standard every guide is held to.
How we write
Guides are written to answer a real question a UK SME asks before comparing — not to fill a page. We explain how a market works, what to prepare and what to check, in plain English. Content is educational and comparison-focused. It is not regulated financial, insurance or legal advice.
How we review
Every guide is checked for accuracy, balance and compliance before it is published. We avoid guaranteed-savings and guaranteed-approval language, we do not imply we are advisers, and we do not name a partner or a review source unless it is genuinely in place.
How we update
Guides carry a published and modified date. When a market rule, process or our partner routing changes in a way that affects the advice, we revise the guide and move the modified date. Corrections are made promptly when something is shown to be wrong.
What we will not do
No fake countdowns, no mystery data selling, no guaranteed savings or finance-approval claims, no hidden broker waffle, and no review scores attributed to a platform we are not actually on. Where money changes hands, we say so on the page, not just in the footer.
CostQuote is a comparison and introduction service operated by Go Convert Solutions Ltd — not a lender, insurer or energy supplier, and not a regulated adviser.
